PDA Testing of Non-Dairy Pasteurizers

On January 30, the PA Department of Agriculture sent out a notice to the industry:

“As of February 1, 2023, PDA is no longer completing efficiency testing on Batch (vat), HTST, HHST, UHT, and/or Aseptic pasteurization systems which are not used for dairy products, to include any “back-up” units with no direct connection for dairy production routinely routed to the pasteurizer through that system.”
